You can fix a Bat Grip that is sliding up by using a PVC insulation tape under the grip on the bat handle. Keep the sticky side of the tape out. The sticky side attaches to the grip and stops it from sliding up. Using specialized grip tapes like GripGrip Pro can be really convenient.
Reattach the handle. Sometimes the handle on a cricket bat can fall out of the body, and this can be reattached with glue. Cover the handle with wood glue and reinsert it into the body of the bat. Use a rubber mallet to tap the handle into place. Remove any excess glue.

Handle Cracks. The handle of a bat is usually the first part of the bat that needs to be repaired. If you notice the handle starting to loosen, this is the first sign of damage. Although no visible crack may appear, a batsman can feel hampered by the looseness. If you notice your handle becoming loose, have it checked by a cricket bat specialist.
For the conventional V grip, the bottom hand should be kept fairly loose, making it easy for you to play shots on all sides of the wicket. When you pick the bat up, this grip should result in the bat face pointing down towards the ground, with the toe of the bat pointing in the direction of the wicketkeeper/1st slip.
When this impact is off centre the bat experiences greater levels of torsion. The force is greatest with faster bowling or quicker bat speed. Repeated impact builds stress through the handle with the laminates moving excessively when the glue is compromised. This transfers down through the shoulder causing splitting.

HANDLE RE-BIND. If you see that the binding on your cricket bat handle has become loose or unravelled get it re-bound as soon as possible. It is cheaper to replace the binding then the handle. We often see bats come into the workshop with broken handles because the binding wasn't up to standard.
